Changed my mind on the trams for the following reasons:

Trams don't have much extra capacity than buses...i.e. the cost of implimenting the tram network isn't worth it for the slight rise in capacity.

The capacity of Trams cannot be increased easily. You'd need to put tram lines side by side which would result in resumptions.

We already have an issue with not enough kerb space for buses let alone adding trams to the mix.

Trams are above ground.

My solution is a metro system. Yes it is more expensive but it solves the issues mentioned above and it can be connected to the greater rail network. It also provides straightline access rather than going around current obstacles. It would easily connect Woolloongabba, Bulimba, Kelvin Grove etc in a straight line to the city creating increased access etc.
