Light rail would also be at capacity immediately, so even though it would be more attractive you couldn't get more people on anyway.
Heavy rail is also cheaper to run per person than light rail.
Melbourne also doesn't have a significantly higher % patronage compared to Brisbane even with their light rail network. |
