Everyone chooses to interpret numbers differently. The reason that the US made it where it is today was because great minds from all over the world came there and developed the country. Same with Israel. People always flock to where they think they have more opportunity and their lives will be better, in effect improving that place's potential and status. The country which gives the most opportunity will rise more quickly, and I think this is really where China fails and unless a serious reform takes place there, it will never match the US and other developed countries. Nubmers aren't the most important. I think Canada will be on the rise in the near future, although its low population does hamper its chances somewhat. Also the UAE. The US may fall, but it won't happen in the near future IMO. Same with Israel.
