Absolutely not. it looks quite nice actually.

It looks rather dry but modern and liveable with a lot of medium rise buildings that seem not bad at all.

Of course I would not compare it to say, Istanbul or Izmir, for that matter even Ankara, but for a provicial Turkish city it looks respectable and it is supposed to be a major industrial centre in central Anatolia.
