hubris, banal, pompous? I wasnt claiming to be one of those experts to consult. It was a generalisation. My point was that the two experts are academics, a voice from private sector may have added extra credence. Perhaps they may practice and consult to private sector anyway - i dont know. As i said it was just a generalisation from my personal experience - when i moved from academia to government and then to private sector i noticed a big difference between them in terms of what was deemed important and relevant.
