China's year of culture 2007 - 2008 will be devoted to Greece

China, which is preparing to usher in the 20th Olympic Games of 2008, has devoted its Year of Culture 2007-2008 to Greece with a series of cultural events and actions that will familiarize all of China with Greece’s cultural identity.

Greek Culture Minister, George Voulgarakis met with his Chinese counterpart with whom he discussed the particulars about the upcoming events. In addition, the two ministers signed a memorandum of cooperation for the Cultural Year events that will take place from October 2007 until the day after the Beijing Olympics in 2008.
