    Another awesome suprescraper is about to, or has started construction!!

    Called the Kingdom Tower, when completed, it will be the WTB, and will stand at a whopping 3,280 feet at the spire's tip, supassing and eclipsing the height of the present WTB, the Burj Khafila!!!

    The tower was originally going to be a mile-high tower, but the developer was afraid that the ground below might not be able to support the weight of the foundation and the tower, so he decided to shorten the height of the building by making it less taller than the planned 5,282 feet high.

    The tower will feature, among other things, a Four Seasons Hotel, 56 ultra-high-speed elevators, apartments, a glass-floored outdoor obs deck and many other amenities!!! It's estimated completion date is set for 2018. Here are some stunning pics (renderings) below that I found online.

    This tower reminds me a bit of what sci-fi movies choose in their designs for the futuristic cities, specially the "balcony" at the top of it, it will have a great view.

    Yeah. and I believe that the contractor's name is the Saudi Binladin Group.

    The tower will feature the world's highest obs deck ever known, at close to 2,000 feet up!!!!
