| There was also a Ford Escort assembly plant. These auto plants were just for the Israeli market. They didn't sell enough cars to stay open. For Israel to produce an electric car it would have to be cheap enough to compete in a world market. If it could do this I'm sure there would be international partners as there are for other Israeli innovations. | |||||||||||

| israel also has a bus plant and combat vehicles plants, so a car is possible, but the focus would be on better electric engines that need to be powered up the same as fuel and less time (right now you need hours and hours to recharge).
