2.4 million passengers went through in summer in 13,930 flights, a 24.5% increase.
during the next holidays this month 830,000 will pass through the airport in 4,900 flights.

הקיץ הנוכחי הוא העמוס ביותר שידע נתב"ג, עם גידול של 30% בתנועת הנוסעים ביחס לאוגוסט שעבר. העונה החמה צפויה להסתיים רק אחרי סוכות. מתכננים לנסוע ורוצים לדעת מתי בדיוק יהיו הימים העמוסים בחגים?
2.4 מיליון נוסעים עברו בחודשי הקיץ בנמל התעופה בן גוריון ב-13,930 טיסות, המהווה גידול של 24.5% בתנועת המטוסים.
על פי סיכום נתוני החודשים יולי ואוגוסט 2007 עולה, כי הקיץ הנוכחי הוא הקיץ העמוס ביותר של כל הזמנים. בחודש אוגוסט לבדו, רשמה תנועת הנוסעים הבינלאומית גידול של 30% ביחס לתקופה המקבילה אשתקד.

באופן כללי בחודשי הקיץ היו ימי א' ו-ה' העמוסים ביותר. תנועת השיא נרשמה ביום ה', ה-16.8, שבו עברו בטרמינל 53,116 נוסעים ב-288 טיסות. עונת השיא צפויה להסתיים רק בתחילת חודש אוקטובר, לאחר חגי תשרי.
בסך הכל עברו בנתב"ג במהלך חודש אוגוסט 1,331,935 נוסעים ב-7,662 טיסות בינלאומיות ופנים-ארציות, המסתכמים לכדי 7,071,831 מיליון נוסעים מתחילת השנה.

איזה יום יהיה העמוס ביותר בתקופת החגים?
שנת 2007 כולה צפויה להיות שנת שיא שבה יעברו בשדה התעופה 9.5 מיליון נוסעים. 200,000 נוסעים יותר מהשיא הקודם שנשבר בשנת 2000, סביב ביקור האפיפיור בארץ.

מנכ"ל רשות שדות התעופה גבי אופיר אמר כי: "רשות שדות התעופה ונמל התעופה בן גוריון נערכו לקליטת השיא של תנועת הנוסעים. בזכות מאמצי
העובדים, הצליחה הרשות לשמור על רמת השירות הגבוהה, שנתב"ג רגיל אליה."
הערכות נתב"ג ורשות שדות התעופה נמשכת גם לקראת גל הנסיעות של תקופת החגים, שבה יצאו ויבואו את גבולות המדינה כ-830,000 אלף איש ב-4,923 טיסות. זהו גידול של 25% בתנועת הנוסעים ושל 15% בתנועת המטוסים לעומת תקופת חגי תשרי שנת 2006.
ימי הפעילות הבולטים צפויים להיות יום א', 16.9, מיד לאחר ראש השנה, עם כ-51 אלף נוסעים; יום ה' שלפני ערב יום הכיפורים, ה-20.9, עם כ-45,000 נוסעים; יום א', 23.9, עם כ-45,000 נוסעים; ואחרון חביב, ה-30.9, עם כ-45,000 אלף נוסעים.

We actually have a friend coming to visit us from the US. She is landing at Ben Gurion in about 30 minutes. I hope tourism continues to rise, its one of the easiest and most lucrative ways to add to an economy.

Flying to Israel is a rip off no real competition. If you fly from the U.S. and stop in Europe there is a big security tax added to the ticket. If you fly directly the fare should be much cheaper but it's not.

Continental Airlines has direct flights from New York and the New York Tel-Aviv flight is their most profitable route. Even during the off season from October to April it costs about $1000.

If any body knows of a cheap way to get to Israel I would be interested in hearing about it.

I heard there will be low cost flights from Europe in the future this hopefully will create a little bit of competition.

Don't shoot the messenger. Israel is braking records all the time. Are we supposed to be a cheering section for the the people in charge. I'm making coments to incourage discussion.

The banks just broke a record for profits another monopoly being sucsessful.
I'm sure the average Israeli isn't happy with all their profits t they are paying for it.
