communication - +150-250 nis.
food - +300-500 nis
electicity - + 100 nis
taxes - +50-100 nis
fuel - +200 nis
water - +75 nis
services - +150-300 nis
total - 600-2000 nis.

You are young. This kind of inflation is nothing compared to the 30% a month that was in the past. People would get their pay once a month and by the end of the month it was worth 30% less. What people did was to transfer their money into bank shares with the hope the shares would go up .

It makes all Israeli's who are in their 50's or 60's very aware of the ebbs and flows of currency values. It turned all of Israel at the time into speculators.

When the banks got in trouble the Government had to bale them out and guarantee all the shares. This was before Israel's economy was as strong as it is today.

ira it has nothing to do with inflation now. milk products that cost 5 nis in 2007, now cost 6.5 nis and its rising every two months. the cost of food is rising like mad around the world and we are going to see mass starvation and poverty rising.

not subsidized - 15-25%
fuel (expected) - 4-6%
wheat/cerial products - 5-10%
vegetables/fruit (due to import cost/drought) - rising 10-15%

Price controlled bread to rise 4% following hike in price of wheat, energy

The cost of price-controlled bread will rise four percent on Wednesday morning.
Bakery owners asked the Labor, Trade and Industry to raise the price of bread by five percent following a raise in the price of both wheat and energy, but the ministry calculated that a raise of 4% would cover the bakers' losses
