| a company in yavne called Urban Aeronautics developed a car that can land anywhere and fly very close to buildings. (this isnt new btw, they showed it on tv in concept stages two years ago). they cant find a term for it, its most like a helicopter, it has no visible rotors (only internal) and can be steered in any direction by different variations of tilting blades. this idea started 5 years ago, by israelis who worked before for the IAF (airforce) and boeing, they are building a second prototype and have signed a deal with US company Bell to produce it as the first commercial flying/hovering car, for the u.s. army. The cost will be a few million dollars and they predict it will become the future transport based on their idea, but it will take many years to be a standard household car. | It flies like a helicopter but looks more like a hovercraft (maybe even starting/landing is more hover-like). For now the model looks a little crapy, but at least it flies ![]() | |||||||||||

| yeah youre right its more like a hovercraft but the thing is, in urban areas you cant have helicopters making huge winds and being dangerous. with this machine if they succeed, it will make much less! | |||||||||||
