| He of course was immediately replaced with a new and possibly even more corrupt chief. The new deputy is a close friend of Olmert and Co. and will be defiantly handy when it comes time to destroy evidence against Omerts massive corruption scams. They of course will complete the trio with the new Justice Minister who hates the supreme court judges, specially those that want to charge his dear friend olmert with corruption. All hail King olmert New police commissioner named Following Moshe Karadi's resignation in light of Zeiler report slamming police top brass, Internal Security Minister Avi Dichter announces he plans to appoint Israel Prison Service head Yaakov Ganot next police commissioner Internal Security Minister Avi Dichter plans to appoint Israel Prison Service head Yaakov Ganot the next police commissioner. Dichter informed Ganot of the decision shortly before holding a press conference in Jerusalem Sunday evening. Dichter fired Karadi's deputy, Benny Kaniak, although he was not mentioned in the Zeiler report , which slammed the police top brass' conduct in the Perinian affair. He asked him to replace Ganot as Israel Prison Service chief. Major-General Miki Levy, whose serves as the police's representative in the United States, will be appointed deputy police commissioner. Ganot charged with corruption in the past In 1994, during his time as Northern district commander, Ganot was charged with corruption, fraud, and breach of trust. Despite harsh criticism by the presiding judges, he was eventually exonerated by both the District Court and the Supreme Court. However, the affair has inevitably cast doubt on Ganot’s integrity, and may lead to a petition to the High Court of Justice against his appointment as Israel’s next police chief. A senior legal official said in response to Ganot's appointment that "it is enough to look at the Zeiler Commission's conclusions regarding Karadi and the Supreme Court ruling regarding Ganot in order to understand that this appointment is inappropriate." The Movement for Quality Government in Israel announced that "in light of the harsh criticism voiced by the Supreme Court when Major-General Yaakov Ganot was acquitted, we will weigh our legal options." http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7...366686,00.html | |||||||||||

| a) the media is now so onto olmert & co. that he wont be able to do anything near what sharon did. ganot - well, he wont have power to do any deals for olmert, the media is now watching closely. thank god that sharon was stopped on time. - benny regev, corrupt likud mayor of lod - was kicked out this week. - karadi and halutz - replaced. - head of tax authority matza that is linked to olmert's people - was suspended under investigation for half year - today he also resigned I am more and more proud that Israel had the power to surface all sharons corruption and hopefully all the new people in office will know people are watching them very closely and wont dare to do anything! so its only for the best, what country has the power to root out corruption like this? | NFC is owned by Yoav Yitzhak. If it was russia putin would probably have had him shot by now. When he started almost daily to bring Olmert stories and he took them to the attourney general and state comptroller people were expecting them to fade away but when serious investigations started (and still continue) then they took him seriously. And yes I love his website, and although many stories are blown up over there, its still has so much new information that its become a very popular website just from these scandals. But now he is trageting also chief high court judge beinish, which I think is just a "shoot and see if you miss or hit something" and not fair approach. you can see my signature what I think of olmert and peretz from day 1..
