By the way - that's not the building at Rothschild 10, even though that's what it says on Zoomap. That is the building on the opposite corner, which is now renovated and has a "Cafe Cafe" in it instead of the Golden Bar.

Rothschild 10-12 are two 2-storey buildings that look very run down. The correct picture of Rothschild 12 is in fact labeled Rothschild 9, for some reason:

Thx. for clarifying, and I'm pretty happy about that, because I was wondering why they would demolish that building, when it could have been nicely renovated. And, in my opinion, midi81 is right, skyscrapers just make the skyline and not the city, unless of course we are talking about New York, and these buildings being renovated are what will make Tel Aviv unique among the hundreds of cities that have skyscrapers.
However, I am in favor of most of those 50's and 60's rundown boxes being destroyed and in there place, beautiful lowrise buildings and skyscrapers. But it is a dream that will probably not happen in my liftime.

any demolition in bnei brak is good if you know the conditions of some of the res. buildings there. 13f is not too high, and theres no point to renovate small old regular box buildings like this.

why not? thats exactly what is happening. theres just many of them because thats the problem of cities that are built in one big step, all the buildings need renovations at the same time. now imagine what kind of problems cities that today are building all at once hundreds of towers will face in 60-80 years.. they will either have hundreds of rundown towers of will have to do huge demolitions. I dont think people understand this yet.. and when its towers for middle-low class they have less money to do regular maintanance and the towers become rundown much faster if they are built with cheap concrete and materials..
