Dalia Tal 3 Sep 08 16:45 The Israel Land Administration (ILA) management will submit a compromise agreement signed with Kibbutz Galil Yam to the ILA Council for approval. The agreement will end the 15-year legal dispute over kibbutz land adjacent to Herzliya. The kibbutz wants to build 3,118 housing units and 100,000 square meters of commercial space. The value of the land is estimated at over NIS 3 billion. The compromise will allow the kibbutz to build 700 housing units and to plan a logistics and commercial center. The kibbutz will also receive compensation for 200 additional units (the ILA will market the rest of the land). In exchange, the kibbutz will cancel all its claims against the ILA, pay of betterment taxes, and will deal with 16 illegal commercial properties on the land. The dispute erupted in 1993, when Kibbutz Galil Yam initiated an ambitious plan on a 1,100-dunam (275-acre) site, including a 300-dunam (75 acres) industrial park and 150-dunam (37.5-acre) shopping center, and 1,000 housing units. | New park was build in Herzliya just next to Shivat Hakochavim Mall. this is onley the begining of the park, let's hope it will be bigger.
