| What's interesting is that they are emphasizing greatly it's location within Rishon leZion (on their website). True, it IS located in Rishon, but the city center is beyond two highways and almost as far as Tel Aviv-Yaffo. In fact, the area is rather an extention of Bat Yam, more then anything else. I am very curios why that's the case, because they really use Rishon as a marketing factor. After all, Rishon is not known as a city attracting foreign residents. For foreign residents Bat Yam is for example much more known. They could have also emphasized the proximity to Yaffo... Well, my guess is that Rishon wants to make the point that it too is a "beachfront city" and that this is in fact the very first beachfront development ever. BTW, just as interesting (within the context of using a city for marketing reasons) is that the Hofim development in Hadera avoids as much as it can to mention that it is within Hadera municipality. Some projects in Netanya also avoided mentioning Netanya, but lately I think that has gotten rare and Netanya is becoming a positive "brand" name. | |||||||||||

| BTW, one of the GREATEST sights in Rishon (or actually just next to it) is the SHAFDAN sewage treatment plant for the entire Gush Dan region! The treated sewage is drinking water quality (after the usual treatment, the water is being infiltrated into the dunes, pumped after 400 days) and carried to the Negev. It provides 60% of the water for irrigation in the Negev!!!! It is just south of the Superland and believe me that it is a much bigger attraction ![]() | |||||||||||

| South Bat Yam and the Reshion beach area will be one big development area. By the way people from Reshion see the people from Bat Yam as lower class and not as good. As an American I can't see the difference. Maybe someone in the forum can explain the sociological differences. By the way both areas are very close to the Ayalon highway which is a 10 minute drive to Tel-Aviv. | |||||||||||

| yes rishon has great beaches but only now they are starting to be developed and only now the city is "reaching" the sea, I think the area will be developed a lot over the next 10-15 years, theres lots of room for about 10-20 hotels and 2-3 new big neighbourhoods that will join rishon towards bat yam. Bat yam isnt considered "lower class" anymore and the price jumps of 20-25% prove it will be just as 'in demand' as cities around it. after all its the closest to tel aviv after ramat gan, theres going to be only bigger demand to destroy old buildings in the city and build up new towers.
