True there both oldish cities except milan has some more new flash buildings coming through plus fashion capital of the world.

By far Paris and it is not because I live in it. (Like the large majority of Parisian I don't come from Paris)
Paris is more vibrant, more active, far more multicultural and have more skyscrapers.
I have been in Milan and I was desapointed, I throught that it is was more like London or Paris.

Milan was gritty, I like the gritty but the vibrant gritty and it was not the case of Milan,
Paris can be a very gritty city but these districts are very active far more than the too clean and too beautiful district of the Louvre, Invalide and bank of the Seine near the Louvre.
