Dubai does not have the largest building, if you mean tallest then you got that right. Dubai doesnt have the largest or longest bridge so. What is with the etc. I know dubai doesnt have the largest everything. The largest store Macys

Its sad how dubai doesnt have something simple as an amusement park, but who cares, America is the amusement park capital of the world. You have never been to NYC. I have been to Dubai.
Firstly you live in NYC, so it's the exact as me living in Melbourne. Melbourne was voted the most livable city in the world, NYC wasn't because it has so many problems, and that's why I don't like NYC. Also because it's in America and America has a lot of problems. How about you come and visit Melbourne, we'd offer a greater variety in culture than NYC, as it is the culture capital of the southern hemisphere.

Melbourne is more of a city than Dubai at the moment, and it has everything NYC does, it doesn't need gigantic buildings, it has everything it needs.

I was speaking futurisitically, within the next 10 years Dubai will have the biggest longest tallest everything.

Dubai itself is an amusement park.

Why do you bring the fact that you have been to Dubai now? It's fairly obvious at this point that you'd be making it up.

Melbourne does not have everything that NYC has. Go check the facts. I wasnt even judging it by its lack of buildings. Just because its considered livable that doesnt make it better. NYC has everything. Keep your mind warped in space. Almost everything in Melbourne is Australian culture, but in NYC each culture share in a percentage. NYC was voted as the most culturally diverse city in the world so get that "melbourne has more culture" comment out of here. Thats one reason why NYc is a real city because it has problems which any REAL city can fix and NYC is fixing its problems. Yeah we have problems because we have so many different cultures and not just old ones as well as new cultures, also we have over 300 million people im sure we dont have that much of a problem for a country of that size. The history of NYC is much more interesting than Melbourne's.

Futuristically, how can you say that without implying it first. And no i checked its not even in the under construction part. It must be proposed unless you have any documents otherwise. '

Again with the funny comments. Im not going to have fun looking at a building. What am i going to do, ride the elevators.

Oh im not making that up. I went there on my to India

Your pelting me with opinion. You might find amusement parks fun, I don't. An old saying, everyone with their own.

Ontop of that, having the title and the evidence to prove the most livable city does make the city better. It attracts people to it, it makes everyone think of it as better. Seriously, I'd rather live in the move livable city, quality of life-wise and economically wise, than a gigantic old city. Sure NYC has it's history, but I'd rather live in a city that creates History, not stares in awe at whats happened.

You've never been to Melbourne so shut your mouth on the amount of Australian culture that is in Melbourne.

That's just your selfish point of view.

Economically wise. Melbourne is no where near NYC in Economy. Thats not an opinion thats a fact. NYC is second to London only because of the economic crisis and the lost of the world trade center, which we will gain again after we finish rebuilding it. NYC does make history, catch up with us. NYC is not old. Maybe you should check out all the other major cities first then lets talk about old. Plus old buildings give a city character. If you dont like NYC because of its old buildings that means you dont like London, Paris, etc.

No, like i said does not make it better. Like you said people are attracted to it. Thats why by 2030 we will have a population near 10 million, Thats just by estimated numbers it could be higher.

Oh also i read about the culture in melbourne. I didnt say it was mostly australian culture, the website did. ALso Melbourne, like i said before, cant reach the level of NYC.

What you said did not make any sense. How am i selfish. Its not my point of view only but to alot of historians.
read about it.

Are you that daft? Did you even read what I said in context? Melbourne is the worlds second most livable city in terms of economy. That's what I was stating it as.

This is the most opinionated thread in the world!!! None of it is provable because it's all based on opinion, even your so called historians base their belief on opinion. If it gives it character, then wow, NYC is very colourful in character, and Dubai is dull. But it's writing history with every meter they erect on a building which doesn't make it dull, it makes it colourful!

Yes, it does make it better. What good is age, or population, if no one wants to live there. OR WORSE no one can live there.

My advice to you, is stop reading websites and read a book, or watch a TV program. I live here and can tell you it's not. Melbourne has one of the worlds largest Greek populations.

None of it is provable because it's all based on opinion, even your so called historians base their belief on opinion. They can't get God to tell which city is better, and you being a Christian, like me, would find his word obsolete and absolute. Only he could prove a city's worth.

Other than that I still believe Dubai is better than NYC.
