Deakin Avenue - One of Australia's longest boulevards

I've heard somewhere that it is the longest main street in Australia, measuring something like 12km from the CBD to the airport.

Mildura quite surprised me when I drove through, coming from the Melbourne direction, a year ago. I was expecting a small country town, something like Ouyen, but goddamn I came across a sizable place with people out and about, traffic, giving a warm buzz to the place. Was quite a shock after 300km of dusty paddocks and tiny deserted desert towns!

Correct me if Im wrong, but part of the marina construction includes a 9 story apartment block - will this be the only hi-rise building in inland Australia?

I wouldn’t say obsessed, its a popular tourist spot for South Aussies but its not the only one there’s the Flureieu Peninsula, Riverland, Mannum, Yorke Peninsula and of course the Gold Coast.

Can you please explain to me why you think Mildura is a one horse town?, because im really curious to find out. as you are the first person ever to say that.

as Rev said, the only special thing Alice has to offer is Uluru and perhaps King's Canyon and the Olgas, etc.
Rubbish. There’s the McDonald Ranges, Casino, Lifestyle, Isolation and more...

Alice is a place that you love it or you hate it. I know people who loved Alice Springs and then I know people who hated it.

Or Coober Pedy. Plus I think you can fly to Uluru from the major cities.

Yeah I think ive heard its the longest garden boulevard in Australia, but Port Road in Adelaide which has a huge medium strip is longer.

I’ve traveled to Melbourne from Mildura quite a bit via the Sunraysia & Calder Highways and the towns along there are the opposite to Mildura. Some real treasures along there

No way. There are tones of towns that have mid-high rise buildings. Anyway im not that keen on high-rise building being built at the marina

Though Mildura's reputation is going to be hit hard once this toxic waste dump is complete.

Deakin Avenue - Mildura (the main drag)

This street goes like that for the whole way (around 5-7km) and if your wondering why the place looks so dead, is because i think those pics were taken on a Sunday or a public holiday.

One thing i dont really like about Mildura is its flat, i prefer hilly places
