Very nice Churches, but I still prefer Gothic style churches over anything else.

oh isn't that St. Polycarp that once existed in Izmir?

i wish they rebuilt it again... It would be so cool, churches, synagogues and mosques toether again in the old bazaar of Kemeraltı.
For the time being, only this one is missing

not the similarity between this and the clock tower
this was the inspiring one

^ This church tower is located at the municipality of New Smyrni (Izmir for u Turks) which was established by refugees who left Smyrni (Izmir)!
It is an exact copy of the one there used to be in Smyrni (I don't know if it was St. Polycarp as you say).
Having said that...the reason for building this church tower is obvious
btw, what happened to the one in Turkey?

My favorite churches in Greece (in terms of architecture)...both huge!

St. Andrews Cathedral in Patra

St. Nektarios Cathedral and monastery in Aegina
