| I couldn't find a photography questions and tips thread, so here's one for all your queries. I'll start off with a question myself for any experts out there... what do you think of Canon's 200mm f/2.8 prime lens, particularly on a 400D where it'd equal 320mm? Is it highly recommended only if used on a tripod both day and night? I prefer some of its qualities over the Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 IS: 1. Black colour, less eyecatching 2. Much lighter 3. Should be sharper as a prime 4. Cheaper. Negative points: 1. No IS 2. 200mm prime would be pretty hard for composing 3. May need to use a tripod for dayshots, thus counteracting "discrete" choice. | |||||||||||
