|  Thessaloniki has an international airport, and is by flights connected with most European countries and cities (London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, ect) and few non European countries. The expansion of the corridor will allow flights from/to USA, cause now you are forced to travel in America via Athens. | |||||||||||

| Hello guys, nice to meet also here  I also like the project.... but we shouldnt dream about it. It is just a plan that it doesnt seem to become a reality soon. We will just remain with expansion of the corridor and an ancient ugly terminal... My opinion is that the place of the airport is totally wrong and the expansion of the corridor is a big mistake. It will cause an ecological disaster of the sea. The solution for the city is a NEW international airport on the western part of the city. There stands one of the largest plains of the country, Central Macedonia plains, which has PLENTY of space to be built a new and appropriate airport for Thessaloniki. All other solutions of expanding this old airport are just half solutions. | |||||||||||
