Es innegable como San Pedro Progresa en una forma acelerada.

El reportaje de La Prensa informa que sera un edificio de 11 niveles, pero a mi parecer y tecnicamente hablando, sera una estructura de 12 a 13 pisos (mas sotano(s)) porque la planta a nivel de calle tiene una altura equivalente a dos pisos. Al menos que yo este errado...

IHG Announces Plans For Honduras' First Holiday Inn Express

MIAMI

IHG (InterContinental Hotels Group) (LSE:IHG)(NYSE:IHG) (ADRs), the world's largest hotel group by number of rooms, today announces that a 104-room Holiday Inn Express in San Pedro Sula, Honduras will be built. This hotel will be the first Holiday Inn Express in Honduras and the fourth IHG property in the country. San Pedro Sula has an estimated population of one million and is the second largest city in the country after the Honduran Capital of Tegucigalpa.

The 11-story hotel will be owned by Desarrollos Monumentales, S.A. de CV under a license agreement with a company in the InterContinental Hotels Group and is scheduled to open September 2008.

Currently, there are three IHG properties in Honduras including the Real InterContinental San Pedro Sula, the Real InterContinental Tegucigalpa and the Holiday Inn San Pedro Sula also owned by Desarrollos Monumentales, S.A. Recently, IHG announced the groundbreaking of the first Holiday Inn Express in Central America, the San Jose - Forum in San Jose, Costa Rica.

"The decision to bring the Holiday Inn Express brand to the country of Honduras reflects the development of tourism in the region, as well as the need for accommodations that offers comfort, convenience and good quality at affordable prices to international business and leisure travelers," said Alvaro Diago, area president, IHG Latin America. "We have assessed the travel market in the region and feel that we are ahead of the trend and that it is timely to bring this mid-scale brand to the country."

The Holiday Inn Express in San Pedro Sula will be situated on Avenida Circunvalación in front of the Monumento a la Madre and continues to the San Vicente de Paul Church, which is within walking distance from San Pedro Sula's trendiest areas. It will also be next to the two best shopping malls in the city and about 15 minutes from San Pedro Sula's International Airport.

Upon completion, the hotel will have an outdoor swimming pool, fitness center, four meeting rooms to accommodate up to 50 people and a business center.

It primarily caters to a business market, but it also serves leisure travelers, especially travelers eager to fly to the beautiful island of Roatan, a world-class diving destination, the Mayan Copan ruins and La Ceiba.

***** A proposito, talvez usted podria hacer cierta investigacion de inteligencia y obtener mas informacion detallada acerca de la Torre ALTIKA.

Datos generales:
El promotor de este proyecto es Hector Flores (hijo de Rafael Flores, Presidente del Club Árabe). El ya tiene un anteproyecto de apartamentos. Se llama Torre Altika, y se localizara en la colonia Bella vista; con 14 apartamentos en total, los primeros 4 niveles tendran un apto. por piso y el resto para arriba son del tipo dúplex - Partiendo los niveles en 2 aptos. con elevadores privados. Nicho orientado directamente a jóvenes, los esta tratando de colocar entre sus amigos, precio estimado $1,350 por m2.

Excelente el crecimiento que esta tomando SPS y definitivamente el ritmo es imparable en esta gran ciudad hondureña. Además la construcción de este hotel es un signo de confianza de los inversionistas en el sector turístico de esta urbe.

El diseno no tengo exactamente el dato quien lo hizo. IHC Group contrata una constructora local del pais donde esta edificando un nuevo hotel para poder ejecutar el diseno. Por ejemplo los Hoteles de la cadena IHC en Honduras los ha hecho Desarrollos Monumentales de Honduras, y el Holiday Inn Express que se acaba de terminar en San Jose, Costa Rica, lo hizo Prime Holding.
