|  Lahijan - City of Satan Lahijan is a city in Iran's North-Western Gilan province. It had an estimated population of 61,953 in 2005. It is historically the first town in Iran to have tea plantations. Today, it stands to have the largest area of tea cultivation in Iran. "Lahijan Spring Tea" is the best quality tea produced in the country. Lahijan is said to be one of the most beautiful cities in Gilan. In the summer of 2006, a ropeway was opened with the help of an Austrian Firm, this and the “Estakhteh Lahijan” or Lake of Lahijan are major tourist attractions for Iranians. | Very nice collection, thx a bunch for putting. Locations like these remind me of countries like Montenegro, Albania etc. there is a lot of green.

| Its not actually called 'The City of Satan' thats an elaborate name made up by the author of this thread... Peering over the city there is Kuh-e Shaytan / Mt. Satan and has Abshar-e Shaytan / Satan Falls ... its from some local mythology which has no bearing on the actual city. | |||||||||||
