|  oiknine? here its spelled vaknin  lots of north african jews go into fashion and textiles because it was one of the main things they worked in trading for hundreds of years. so they also took it to usa, israel and france when they moved. Isaac Mizrahi is also of jewish-egyptian origin and his family was also in the textile business. also a lot of israeli designers as well. | the whole idea of designer jeans was started by Jordash jeans. An Israeli who grew up with real jeans (American) and imitation. When he got to america there were no special jeans and the rest is history. | |||||||||||
