| Though Hebrew is difficult to learn, I enjoying the learning process. My first goal is to read Hebrew Bible by myself. In many books, they teach us the Hebrew words pronunciation with english characters. But it seems there is a little difference between them. (someone said 'resh' is pronounced differently from 'r' in English, more like spanish 'r' or French 'r'). Now I am totally confused. Can anyone help me to figure this out? I wanna know the exact pronunciation about the Hebrew words. and how many other characters in Hebrew are like this? (with a different sound from the english characters the books refer to. ) Well, I am from China and I think I will go to Jerusalem some day. If you want to know more about China or Chinese, feel free to contact me. I am always happy to talk. Tang | |||||||||||

| I don't think you should worry so much about pronunciation. There are many dialects even in modern Israeli Hebrew and there's no one correct way to pronounce certain letters (especially Resh, Het and Ayin). I'll be glad to help you with specific questions regarding Hebrew. | |||||||||||
