There's another skyscraper - a condo tower, on the rise in New York City!!

Well, at least not yet, but the construction / foundation work has already begun last year.

This planned tower's structural height will be taller than the tallest tower presently being built at Ground Zero - One World Trade Center (formerly called the Freedom Tower)!!

A height of about 1,380 feet is planned for the building, which originally had a planned height of 1,300 feet. It will eventually surpass the structural heights of WTC 1, the former Twin Towers of the old WTC and the Empire State Building!!

But One WTC will be symbolically taller and will retain the crown and bragging rights of being the tallest building in the country because of its planned spire, which will bring the tower's total height to a whopping 1,776 feet!!

The tower is scheduled to be completed and open for business in 2016. It will be tall and skinny.

Will this one be the tallest one in Ground Zero? I still disagree with the spire being taken into account when measuring the building height but oh well, it's always been like that.

This building is in no way planned for Ground Zero. It is being built near the big park on Park Avenue - hence the name of the building.

Usually, when a superscraper is planned and built, its planned height is mainly for bragging rights as the WTB or the CTB. The spire added to it, in the case of the Freedom Tower, gives it the symbolic (not occupied) height, raising the total height of the tower to 1,776 feet, which is also for bragging rights as the CTB.

The Burj Khafila also has a spire, which raises the total height of the tower to a world record height of about 2,723 feet at the tip.

The planned Kingdom Tower, when built, will be even taller than that of the Burj Khafila. A wopping 3,280 feet at the tip!!!!!

Yeah my bad, I misread the part where it said that it was going to be taller than the tallest one being built at Ground Zero. Thanks for the explanation bro, i'll be looking forward to seeing more updates of this tower.
