Beginning July 28, the Philippines will be hosting the various meetings related to the ASEAN, the 2nd East Asia Summit and the 12th ASEAN Summit.

The 12th ASEAN Summit will be held in Cebu City in central Philippines on Dec. 11-14.

It is expected that the highlight of the Summit will be the submission of the blue print of the ASEAN Charter which embodies the fundamental principles, goals, objectives and structures of ASEAN cooperation capable of meeting the needs of the ASEAN Community and beyond.

On August 8, Asean will observe its 40th Foundation Day of the ASEAN Standing Committee in Los Baños, Laguna, at the ASEAN Center for Biodiversity with President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo as guest of honor and speaker.
