    The whole story in pictures:

    Visualization A.D. 2002:

The construction was on hold for some 1 year due to legal problems (case "Przyjazne Miasto" vs. ING; we call it "pseudo-ecologists" or "eco-terrorists"; they try to block every big investition and withdraw after they get paid few dozens of 1,000 USD). Now it's some 1.5 year overdue, as it was planned to be finished in 2005.

woooah, wonderful... I prefer this to a stupid 500 m tall tower...

Design: Jerde Partnership, the designer of Istanbul Kanyon. Those guys are really amazing...

what is this complex? Hotel or business center?

There will be cinema complex with 11 projection rooms (but will not start in Spring 2007), some pubs and restaurants will move here (some of them are old and well known). There will be big shopping mall with shopping arcade going along the tunnel from Central Railway Station.
The tower (and probably most of the caldera-like part) will host offices.
There will be also 4 floor underground parking for 1,700 cars.
