| And people also have to have the motivation and will power to leave the car at home and use PT or use the car when they know there will not be much traffic.

| Thats also true. Even if the train station is just down the road. Drive/walk to the train or bus station. Healthier for the envirnoment cheaper than fuel and in some terms alot quicker! | |||||||||||

| in regards to the airport flyover, i tend to think they could have greatly reduced there costs if the removed the offramps for the airport. Considering the new airport access road i dont think there is any need for the connections between the Gateway and Kingsford Smith Drive, it just complicates the interchange a bit to much for my liking. I know if im coming from the southside i will just go via the new airport access road. | |||||||||||

| In relation to this project, I've read a number of complaints about it being only 4 lanes. Just to clarify, the tunnel is SIX LANES between the NSBT/Inner City Bypass/Bowen Bridge Rd Interchange and the Lutwyche portal. It makes a lot of sense when you think about it... Travelling to Lutwyche from the CBD via the ICB and Airport Link is likely to be a very popular travel route. The tunnel reduces to FOUR lanes between the Lutwyche portal and the airport. The Brisconnections consortium proposed 6 lanes for the Clem Jones Tunnel/NSBT. They were knocked back. IMO it was better to save them for this project - John Holland have the best designs in my opinion, and it's a bad idea to have the same consortium working multiple massive projects. Much wiser to spread risk. | |||||||||||
