| Well, with the grades and the corner radii they use on the busways, they could never be used for heavy rail - but they'll most likely end up as light rail.

| I'm really disappointed with the state government/ council for not pursuing this but favoring the Northern Link tunnel more. A friend of mine is working in Brisbane for 2 months flying up and down from melbourne where he lives. He thought it was a joke that you have to go through an industrial estate coming from the airport, complete with oversized trucks just to get into the cbd. Its a total embarrassment, and if there's one tunnel we need the most this would be it IMO. | The tender for this is to be announced in the first half of this year I'm quite sure. Construction should begin within 1 year. They aren't really favoring Northern Link much at all.

| I have heard ziltch of this project. I guess I'm just over worrying. Funding is said to be from the state government and a private consortium. I can just imagine this thing being a flop. | |||||||||||
