I suppose most of you have heard of MSC future plans for Maroochydore City Centre.

However, I wish some decent projects would hurry up a get off the ground in Nambour, especially around the old Moreton Sugar Mill site. All I seem to read/hear about are proposals and possibilities, nothing really set in concrete 'so to speak' or even started for that matter. They also need fast-track something to improve the rail/bus interchange in Nambour, the area is too squashed in by the big elephant called "Cemetary Square", aarh sorry, Centenary Square. Very little room available for people being dropped off by car to catch trains or buses, limited short term parking in general, look at Landsborough or Caboolture railway stations by comparison.

No prizes for guessing where you are from. I was in Nambour today and I know what you mean. A bus station or exchange similar to Christchurch, NZ would be ideal for Nambour and particularly Maroochydore. I am curious to know more detail on what is going to be put in the new Kawana Town Centre as there has been very little released in the papers or even at the Stocklands office. All I know is there is supposed to be a transit station, regional hospital and shopping centre at least the size of kawana Shoppingworld plus a new resort style suburb called Kawana Beach which is supposed to be like Hastings Street. Can anyone enlighten me further as all this is supposed to happen in about 1 - 2 years.

Yeh, there isn't very much on the web about the proposed Kawana Town Centre yet.

The QT link below does say their web page will be updated once it is publicly available, might have to keep on eye out here.
