| The new Maroochydore Boulevard will also include a Harvey Norman anchored retail development which is about 28, 000 sq. metres. The development of the Big Top centre looks like an exciting new project, but when will it start? There has been a lot of information on Maroochydore projects released recently and there is some good information at Maroochydore council on the plans for the cbd in the next 20 years. Apparently there are around 10, 000 new residents moving to the Sunshine Coast every year, which means there is basically a new Noosa added every 5 years. I am still a little mystified on how helpful the marketing people and council are in Maroochydore about their projects. Even the video display of the Big Top development by Reed is quite informative and gives you a good idea of what it will be like. Whereas Kawana has a number of projects about to be completed in the next 2 years or so and there is very little information or marketing material released. | |||||||||||

| Does anyone have any news on Camcos? I understood the train would go to Kawana by 2015. I heard that there is a push to fast track this project. | |||||||||||

| Caloundra could be in for some exciting potential new development, 1.6 hectares located close to the Caloundra cbd at 72-74 Omrah Ave looks set for a new mixed use development, possibly tourism, hotel , retail. Bulcock Beach is another area that looks like it will develop along those lines also. The Hibiscus caravan park site has been mooted for redevelopment so I will keep everyone posted on that. It will be interesting to see when Stockland release there plans for the town centre in Kawana. The details of Kawana Shoppingworld's expansion shouldn't be too far away. It will be interesting to see if the Stocklands project coincides with the Mirvac expansion of Kawana or whether the Stockland's project is delayed. | |||||||||||

Yes, I'd have to agree regarding Caloundra's growth, especially with the proposed development around the Little Mountain area, coinciding with the Caloundra Road upgrade. I just only wish that all governments will get rid of the red-tape on the proposed Water Park, so it can eventually be given the all-clear for construction. | ||||||||||||
