| I love Lechistan (old historical local name for Poland, b/c Lachs meant Poles few centuries ago, but official name was the Latin one "Polonia"; I think Poland was the only country in the world being kingdom and republic in one, as Polish kings ruled in "Rzeczpospolita" = "Respublica Poloniae" ).Strongest impact is for Afghanistan (b/c it's hot place on geopolitical map) and some for Pakistan and Hindustan (b/c they are Indu people and I like all Indus, as I've had some good Hindu friends during study years AFAIK "-i-stan" suffix means land/country, where "-i-" is a particle to agglutinate words' parts when the first part ends with a consonant (or means Genitive form of the first part in some languages like Latin, I guess "Afghanistan" means "land of Afghan people" or "Afghan land"). | |||||||||||
