that is your opinion, and it is fine for me

It's not that I have any problems with those that disagree with me, it is those who have actually attacked me for thinking differently than they were. Just b/c I say that the FT is a monunement to terrorism or some ilegitimate replacement, doesn't mean that I am trying to stop anyone from liking it. That is my opinion and I am entitled to it whether others like it or not. I don't mind hearing someone saying that they find rebuilding the Twins as being disrespecting or going back to the past just as long as they make any personal attacks at me for choosing that side as well as on others who share my view. As a nerdy leftist, I am all for having debates on issues like this, b/c it shows how something can change among the type of view. For example, there are those who find hate groups such as the KKK and neo-Nazis to be good people rather than bad. Another way to think about what I like is like the WNBA, b/c it's not like I am forcing anyone to watch its games or buy their products. If some really don't like the way I view things, then it's better to answer my posts rather than make those attacks, which was what many narcissitic fourmers over at SSC and SSP did at me in the past when I clearly didn't stop them on what they wanted.

But I'm sure that you understand why the officials won't let those two buildings be rebuilt - even though you'd like to see them be rebuilt.

In life, we ALL must move on, even though we might not want to. They want something new, fresh and exciting rather than what was there before.

However, this does not justify being a naysayer on those who still believe along with those who have made personall attacks. Lately, there have been articles like the one you recently read calling for another dealy, which brings it back into the playing field. Keep in mind that the official plan was a boondoggle, and saying that we must accept it is like saying that we must live with this lie and pay for this corruption. Of course, this is not the first boondoggle that was done by politicians nor will it be the last b/c there are a number of other projects invovling emminent domain abuse, which is goverment trying to take land for a private use rather than public use, as well as the Iraq War. My point is, that nobody should tell anyone else what they can or cannot like, especially when they don't like that being done to them hence the double standard. Also, whether I am right or wrong for my views, it doesn't mean that anyone has a right to attack, which what I have been facing in the past. Again, don't read my posts if they are not liked, b/c nobody is forced to in the first place. Freedom of choice doesn't mean freedom of selected choices, it means it for all.

But we all know deep down that if any delay pops up, that it won't be a permenant one.

Tons of money has already been invested in this project and they're not going to just stop on a dime and say; " We're not going any further with this."

Silverstein would most certainly sue because he also has tons of money riding on the project. The plan is the get the Freedom Tower going with the other towers on the eastern half of Ground Zero joining the party one behind the other.

But now, no one is telling you that you can't like what we had there before.

Just my thoughts and input. We may want to talk about that in the appropriate thread though.

Absolutely

By the way, what is wrong with this SSC? Is it down for days? I can never reach it.
