I find it an irony that those on those forums that don't allow for the others to have their say are either Americans or from the western world. It's like saying that it's important that democracy spreads elswhere, but they don't practice it their own backyards. Let's not forget that there were priests who owned slaves when they even said to the choir that owning another person was wrong. In reality they really meant that on others, not themselves. It's more like when they support freedom of choice, they really mean freedom of their choice as if they were the ruling group. A quote from Vladimir Illych Lenin probably says it best for them when it comes to freedom of choice, "Freedom for me, none for thee." A big irony is that they tend to place cities like Dubai and Shanghai as great examples for projects when in facts neither of the countries those cities are on are democracies. It makes me think if they are really against democracy, or just against others having it, who are those they don't like.

An even bigger irony is that when someone stated how others opinions should be respected, that was hardly ever the case for me. I have been attacked constantly for making that claim. Examples of this go to where I stated my views on the WTC site, Atlantic Yds, Columbia expansion, Willets, WNBA, congestion pricing, Israel, and other skyscraper projects where I have made that statement yet got attacked and hardly anybody came to call them out, while mods rushed to their defense. I even stated to this to a mod on him saying how I couldn't talk about issues such as wanting the Twins b/c he was personally against it, and even slammed my statement as being a conspiracy theory when I have repeatedly stated that it was nowhere near one and disproved, falsified, and debunked his claim numerous times, but he only got defensive rather than making a factual rebuttle that he lacked. I guess it shows that this is only saying who is above and below the law hence the Jim Cro Laws. Lately, SSL and the NY Times City Room have been the only places where I can state my views w/o having to be worried about being attacked on them.

It wouldn't surprise me in the least bit if others were to leave those 2 forums and come here or go elsewhere.

Seems as though , to me, there is nothing else left to offer there except to be kicked in the butt by those backstabbing controversial mods and admins there who act just like schoolyard & backyard bullies and are so blasted quick to protect the troublemakers and punish the innocent!!

One reason that I'm so glad I'm no longer there is because they run those two forums so dispicably and unfairly!
