Excuse me if there's not the right forum to post, but this is something that everyone must know, if don't notice in your local news services.
A horrible tragedy occurred in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, Friday afternoon, June 5th. 35 children died in a fire at a day-care center, enabled within a warehouse, caused by an explosion inside the other half of the warehouse, where several documents were filed.
Within the nursery there were 142 children under four years 11 months of age, of whom 35 died from third degree burns or choking smoke. 41 remain in hospital for stabilization before transfer to specialized hospitals in Mexico and United States, the remaining 66 are in their homes unharmed.
The fire reached the day-care which had no emergency exit doors, and the only one that had the access was blocked by flames.
The city went into shock, and all afternoon a large number of ambulances circulated through the city to lead and to bring to small hospitals and the airport.
Hermosillo virtually paralyzed its activities in mourning, solidarity, and to facilitate the movement of ambulances to the airport to transport children.
