| I never really thought of Istanbul for its Skyscrapers, it has some really nice and modern designs. Usually you don't think of Istanbull as a modern city, more as the gateway to the East. Most people would go there thinking they were going to see low rise and old developments, I hope Istanbul can one day show the world new modern, vibrant city. Which can mix the old with the new succesfuly to create the city of the 21st century. | |||||||||||

| Well, you don't think Istanbul as a modern city, cause probably you don't know much about her. She was/is/will be modern all the time. You say, you hope one day Istanbul can mix old centuries with 21st century, but no need to hope or dream, because it's already a fact about her. You need to visit Turkey subforum more  And about skylines, Istanbul has one of the best skyline(s) (because it has 2 real and some wannabe skylines) of Europe for years. And in 5 years she will get second rank after Moscow I think. Because these two cities are booming while other European cities are sleeping except London.
