Arrow Parque Central, Caracas (Tallest in South America)

Built: 1979 (tallest in Latin America for 21 years, when Torre Mayor in Mexico DF was built).
Floors: 56
Altitude: 221 mts.

On october 17 2004, a fire consumed from the 35th floor to the 56th (the higher) of the east tower without victims.

Today, after being cleaned and structurally repared, its gonna be a remodelation with restaurants and shops at the top of the tower.

Parque Central is, acording to the "Centro Simon Bolivar", 225m tall.

Centro Simon Bolivar is a gubernamental organization, adscript to the Infraestructure Ministry. It was created when the "El Silencio" Towers we're rised to plan a major infraestructure change in the area sorrounding the Bolívar Av.

It is in charge of planing and excution of infraestructure works all across this important artery. This includes Parque Central. Also the reparation and remodelation of he complex's west tower. Wich is in the other end oh the Bolívar Av. opposite to "El Silencio" towers.
