Why not? They beated Holland as a result of a great game. I wouldn't call it "luck" (like you do) cause Russia is not a "Big Boy."

And comparing Turkey-Greece is just silly. All Greece matches (including final against Portugal) were damn boring while Turkey matches are fun to watch. And yes, we are lucky (unlucky at the same time because of injuries, even Nihat can't play next match) but this doesn't mean that we win because of that.

This will be 2nd semi-final (previous one is 2002 world cup) we play in 6 years in major tournaments. Also for 3rd time we played quarter final in last 8 years. Nobody can say that's luck, coincidence, bla bla bla.

Euro96 (England) After 42 years Turkey achieved to join a big tournament. Eliminated at group stages.

Well you talk about Russian players who are in the lists of big teams, but there are lots of Turkish player who already play for big European clubs. As you said, Volkan Demirel is one of the best Goalkeepers in the world, he plays for Fenerbahçe which has achieved to reach quarter final in Champions League. And guess which Russian team has been sent to the hell by Fenerbahçe in group stages? Yeah, it was CSKA Moscow, Russian Champion!

Also Nihat plays for Villareal in La Liga, his team completed season in 2nd line after Real Madrid. And he is one of the best players of team. For years, Spanish Press choose him as most valuable European foreigner. (except that South American and African stars)

Hamit Altintop plays in Schalke 04, one of the biggest of Bundesliga. Emre was playing for Inter in Serie A and Newcastle United in Premier League, probably he is going to come back this year. Also Tuncay plays for Middlesborough. No need to count more. Who is one of the best foreigners in Russia plays for Zenith? Fatih Tekke? Where is he from? Turkey? And even he is not in team squad!!

Sorry but being a "big boy" is not that easy. A semi final in one tournament doesn't make you big boy! If it did, Greece would be a bigger boy, cause they won the cup!
