Democratic Senator Ted Kennedy, who was a very powerful figure in the political world for a little bit over 4 decades, and who was most influential in getting & seeing many changes for the better for the State of Massachusetts and the counrty, has died. He was 77.

Kennedy died a little over a year after having been diagnosed with brain cancer.

Throughout his entire political career, his family was dogged by many sad tragedies, including that of JFK Jr. He was unable to attend his sister, Eunice Kennedy Shriver's funeral earlier this month.

That lead many to fear that he was in his final days of life. His absence was only discribed as him having gone sailing with his dog & family. Sure enough, the bad news broke last night that he died around midnight. He will be missed by all!
