They do tthings that don't make sense.

For instance, the cost of the Big Dig was blown way out of proportion - now costing a whopping $22b!!

This is due in part to crappy work, kickbacks, price gouging, cost overruns, extremely poor management, scandelous scemes, cutting corners and sabotoge.

Also, an innocent person was tragically killed because some of the ceiling panels in the I-90 connector tunnel fell onto the car that her husband was driving. She was on her way to Logan Airport to catch a flight out to her country.

Further investigation of that accident had revealed that the epoxy cement that was used to secure the bolts in place for the panels had let go and that it was the wrong type to be used. No good!! The womamn's husband and family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit, calling for and unspecified amount in damages for the loss of their loved one.

It's going to take until around 2023 or so to pay it all off. An analysis has been revealed several months ago that this type of constr. project is not something that other cities in America would like to try. That they would try to seek alternate plans for dealing with traffic delays on their highways.
