The Monorail will start in the Downtown up to the new shopping mall (almost finished) near the stadium...
If you want, you can see the shopping project in brazilian forum/Projetos/Porto Alegre Barra Shopping Sul... This shopping will be the biggest in south brazil...

That sounds like a good idea, you spend money on tickets and they send you to a shopping mall after the game to spend more.
But thanks for that, I would call this development an Urban Renewal project. I might just go to Brasil in 2014, just to see this, of course there might be some football on the side
