Thermodynamics... One of my favorite subjects... Thermodynamics has serious ambiguities at higher levels, such as the issue of entropy or unavailibility. This kind of subjects are worked on not only by engineers, but also by a lot of basic science people and philosophers. What it means is that there are many high level issues in thermodynamics, which could only be explained philosophically to meet the application needs... Nobody knows what is going on, but they could formulate it so that they can imitate the events there and have engineering results.
So, there are many issues which are not proven at all related to energy issues, so actually not everything has to be disproven (since they are not proven anyways) to bring up a new concept.
Nevertheless, I don't think that this company actually managed to change the estabilished formulas of thermodynamics, although they aren't proven. It wouldn't be such a small issue... "oh, I changed the second law of thermodynamics yesterday" ehuehue... I am almost 100% sure about it that this company does not have any idea what they are talking about. This makes them even funnier... They most probably have such a poor engineering knowledge that they actually receive external energy somehow (even if their machine works), but do not realize it... hahaha... poor guys...
Yet, what if it is true? Twilight zone...
