My trip to Izmir After 4 years without seeing my family in Turkey, I decided to visit Izmir over Christmas. It was a wonderful staying and Izmir is still absolutely beautiful.
Here are a few impressions from my trip in chronological order. I'll ad some fotos in other threads and in wowturkey.com as well. I hope you like them. Enjoy it!

A fantastic collection of street level photos of Izmir, well done
Enlightenment style of palm trees is a genious idea! I really did like it. Green stays nice on the palms' leaves.
And another thing which didn't escape my observation is the shopping gallery which is designed in a type of a street but covered in a transparent way. This idea also works quite good, I've seen another example of that in Bodrum. (I don't get the name, if sb helps me?) If City's in Nisantasi could be planned like this one, would sound in a better way I reckon.. Anyway my humble idealist urbanist ideas..
