| Koç buys German Grundig electronics company Turkish Koc Group has acquired Grundig, the electronics company symbol of the German revival of the period after the World War II. The group has controlled since 2004 the historic company through company Beko, in partnership with British Alba, now it has acquired 100 pct. of the company, it was reported by the economic supplement of La Repubblica. The holding managed by the Koc family, the richest one in Turkey, is a giant with over 95,000 employees, an annual turnover of $34.5 billion and generates alone 12 pct. of the Turkish exports. Grundig is the latest acquisition among the 107 companies controlled by Koc across the world, in fact in all the sectors of economy, such as food, electronics, construction, oil refining etc. In Italy the holding controls company Arcelitalia, operating in the household appliance sector.
