|  Highspeed lines of Turkey We've already opened a topic about Turkish railways but I think highspeed should be separated from the rest since it's much cooler   Let's post here the latest developments and pictures.These are the major lines which will be comleted by 2012. | Now some information about the trains that will be used: Turkish Railway ordered 10 of these Spanish made CAF highspeed train sets. They have a max. speed of 250 km/h. The trains will be delivered in some weeks according to TCDD.   The production of the new generation highpeed train started and first sets will be delivered in 2007. They are produced in Turkey and will have a max. speed of 350 km/h. So I guess that both trains will be used at all lines.

| Yes but I wanted to post lines which are under construction. I think by 2015 all major cities(also eastern ones) will be connected to the system.

| I was commenting on this map: The first group of lines are now: Istanbul-Ankara, Ankara-Konya, Ankara-Sivas, Osmaneli-Bursa, Izmir-Ankara, and Yerkoy-Kayseri... Second group will start with Kars-Erzincan-Erzurum-Sivas
