| Adnan Menderes Int' Airport [Izmir] That's the new terminal of the Adnan Menderes Airport of Izmir with a capacity of 5 million passengers per year. The whole comlpex (new+old terminal) has a total capecity of 8.000.000. Since Izmir is Turkey's 3rd biggest city and a major destination for domestic tourism the airport needed to be upgraded. The works are nearly completed at the new terminal so the airport can be opened in october 2006. The airport is connected by suburban rail and is the headquarter of newly founded Iz Air (Izmir airways)             | |||||||||||

| double thread merged the new terminal has already been finished and opened in September the total capacity is 9.5 million i guess | |||||||||||
