I guess Istanbul has the most irritating rail system of the world! I do't know how many different vehicles and names the municipality uses. There is metro, there is hafif metro, there is "tünel" which is the second oldest metro line of the world, there is finicular system, there is a trma line with modern tram but also two other lines with two different ancient trams, then there is the marmaray line which will connect europe to asia with a underwater tube.... metrobus, havaray, "banliyö" trains .... As you can see the whole system is very complicated.

Here a general overview of all existing lines and constructions. Right now 76 km of railway lines are under construction.

Aynen hafif metro diyoruz. Light rail tramvay oluyor galiba ama Türkiye'de bi de hafif metro diye bir sey var. Normal metro'ya hafif metro diylorlar, nasil birbirinden ayiriyorlar anlamiyorum!
