Atatürk Olimpiyat Stadyumu (Atatürk Olympic Stadium) is located in İkitelli, an outskirt of İstanbul, and is the highest-capacity stadium of Turkey. Construction started in 1999 and finished by 2002. It was built for Turkey's Olympic Games bid and cost about 130 million TRY (100 million USD).

With its 82.000 people capacity and Olympic size, it was granted the "5-star sport complex" title by UEFA in 2004, enabling it to host finals of UEFA events.
The 2005 Champions League final between A.C. Milan and Liverpool F.C. was played on May 25, 2005 at Atatürk Olimpiyat Stadyumu.Beside this Galatasaray will play their 2006-2007 Champions League games at Atatürk Olympic Stadium.

okay it's a modern stadium. But architectural catastrophe. But location and the archtecture is complately bullshit. Architectures cheated on the old guys of Olymic commitee.This old guys (they are really old men one of them died others are 80 years old) just found this stupid land. And now everyone try to clean this shit. However we organized Champions League final there.

i dont think it's that bad. They can sort it out abit and make it look fantastic. i.e. coloured seats, an extended stand behind the goal posts, some glass...etc...

coloured seats wouldn't fit to this stadium! The atmosphere is cool so coloured seats wouldn't fit in my opinion.
